Frequently Asked Questions
What type of photography do you specialize in?
My specialty is using light to tell a story. My work ranges from headshots and portraits to events and food. In each scenario, I decide what type of lighting will be best to tell the story in front of me. So if you have a story to tell, I am a photographer for you.
What goes into the pricing for a session?
Pricing for photography tends to look a bit different than a typical field. First component would be the cost of equipment, insurance, etc. Next is the time spent at the session and the skillset needed to complete the work. Third is the post processing time and materials, including editing and delivery softwares. Finally, for some session, a licensing fee may be applied for commercial usage, if the product delivered will be used for monetary gain.
What is included in a session?
Every session is customized to the goals of the session, including time spent and deliverables. For example, in a standard headshot session, the goal is to get one killer image that will represent you to the world. Since the goal is really just one great image, the total number of images is limited to 5 deliverables. If your goal is to have a more complete branding session, there are additional options which include 10 or more images. Family sessions are all about capturing tons of family heirlooms so for those sessions you can expect 50 or so images delivered per hour.
Who will be taking my photos? Do you have a team?
I am a one man show! I occasionally partner with assistants, hair and make up artists, etc. for my shoots but overall, I’m your guy.
